MTDSA wants to create a better understanding of Down syndrome, provide resources to new families, and develop ways for individuals with Down syndrome to be included in our community.
We know how important it is to play together! Throughout the year, MTDSA is hosting a number of family activities and great social experiences for adults and young adults with Down syndrome including dances, book clubs, and more!
Thanks to a grant from the Global Down Syndrome Association, MTDSA is in the process of creating a lending library with books, toys, and adaptive equipment.
MTDSA worskshops will begin in late fall 2014 and are designed to provide functional information about Down syndrome. We’ll be using local experts and families to share information.
MTDSA raises funds to provide direct financial support to families for medical or educational needs not covered by insurance or other funding sources. Click here to download the application form.
To demonstrate our commitment to a fully inclusive community for those with Down syndrome, MTDSA will provide mentoring support to adults with Down syndrome and provide opporutnities to be active members in MTDSA and our community.
